MORE than 50 young people aged 11 to 19 took part in a free event skate event.
The skate jam at Warmley Forest Skate Park was organised by Creative Youth Network and the YOU Foundation and funded by Siston Parish Council.
The event included an open skate, live DJ, graffiti art sessions and a skate and scooter competition. The top three entrants in each category won prizes for their efforts in the competition, including new wheels, bearings, T-shirts and decks.
A Creative Youth Network spokesperson said: “It was fantastic day and only about ten minutes of rain, which didn’t put anyone off taking part.”
