Pupils earn Green Flag award

There is a buzz of excitement at Redfield Edge Primary School as the school proudly celebrates earning the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award. This is recognition of the incredible work done by their enthusiastic team of ECO Warriors, led and supported by Mrs Stiby.

Throughout the year, the ECO Warriors have shown amazing commitment to helping the planet. They’ve given up their own time in school to meet, plan, and take action – proving that even small changes can make a big difference. From improving recycling and reducing waste to creating greener spaces and encouraging everyone to think carefully about how we use energy, their efforts have touched every part of school life.

Mrs Stiby said:  “I’m so proud of every one of them. They’ve worked together brilliantly, shown kindness to our planet, and learned that small actions really do add up to something wonderful.”

The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an international award that recognises schools making a genuine difference in protecting the environment.

Now, with their new Green Flag flying proudly outside the school, Redfield Edge’s new cohort of ECO Warriors are already full of ideas for the school’s next eco-friendly adventure.
