Charity tea party raises £2,200

An afternoon tea party held in Kingswood on 22 August has raised £2,200 for Breast Cancer Now.

The event was organised by Julie Langdon and Jackie Stevens, with support from Linda Woods, Karen Rhys-Jones and Jeff Pring. A total of 63 guests enjoyed an afternoon of sweet and savoury treats, scones with jam and cream, and a welcome glass of Prosecco.

The community showed tremendous generosity, donating 90 raffle prizes. The top prize, a golf day for four at Castle Combe, was donated by RW Projects. Other prizes included meal vouchers from Botteginos, The Huntsman and La Piazza, afternoon tea experiences, beauty treatments, gifts, vouchers and a variety of other generously donated prizes.

Guests were also entertained by the talented Maia and Lettie, aged 11 and 8, who delighted everyone with a musical performance on the keyboard.

The organisers would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, donated prizes and supported the event. Their generosity helped make the afternoon a great success while raising vital funds for Breast Cancer Now.
