Bristol’s much-loved St Peter’s Hospice raised almost £2000 at a charity takeover at Memorial Stadium, thanks to generous Rovers supporters.
The charity raised £1,896 at Bristol Rovers’ home game against Barnet as part of its new Wear It Blue fundraising campaign.
The charity takeover brought together football fans, Hospice staff and volunteers to raise vital funds, celebrate the charity’s work and spread awareness of the care and support it provides to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Spirits were high at the Memorial Stadium with St Peter’s Hospice organising a human fruit machine, face painting and a bucket collection. Hospice mascot, Lenny, was also there to meet fans and help spread the word about the charity’s work.
