Boxer is national champ

ONE  student at Snowdon Village Academy has truly boxed clever in an outstanding sporting achievement.

Josh Hayes, a Year 11 student, has recently been crowned a National Junior Boxing Champion. Competing at bantamweight, Josh secured victory against a talented opponent, winning on points after three rounds of a fiercely fought contest in London.

Josh, who started boxing at the age of 10, trains at Paddy John’s Gym. He commits to an intense training schedule, working out five times per week and dedicating countless hours of effort, discipline, and determination to his sport.

His success is a testament not only to his natural talent but also to his perseverance and commitment to continuous improvement.

Laura Blacker, of Snowdon Village City School Kingswood Centre Manager said: “We are incredibly proud of Josh’s achievement.

“His dedication, resilience, and positive attitude make him a fantastic role model for other students.

“This national title is thoroughly deserved, and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes next.”
