ONYX is an Under 14 Intermediate street dance crew made up of 12 young dancers.
The group, from Danni’s Dance Academy in Oldland Common, have just returned from competing at the UDO World Street Dance Championships 2026 in Blackpool where they competed alongside dance schools from around the world.
For 2026/27 they have some amazing opportunities ahead, including UK Worlds, European Worlds, International Hip Hop, Super Weekender and other competitions and events.
But, a spokesperson for their families said: “Taking part in so many opportunities comes with considerable costs for families – competition fees, travel, accommodation, team expenses and kit all quickly add up.
“As parents, there is one thing we feel particularly strongly about: If one dancer can’t go, we don’t go without them. We want all 12 to experience these opportunities together.”
Thy are reaching out to the community and businesses for support. They are looking for multiple local sponsors, rather than one main sponsor, and would love to hear from businesses that may be able to help through financial or team sponsorship; Sponsorship towards future team kit; raffle prizes, vouchers, products or services; donations.
