Plans are being developed for 140 homes at the Lucas Works site in Kingswood.
The triangular site is bordered by Hanham Road, Moravian Road and Bright Street. The developers are MG&G, a local business specialising in the acquisition and redevelopment of former industrial land.

They said the scheme would include “modern energy efficient dwellings, including family homes and apartments” as well as some commercial uses.
An outline planning application was due to be submitted to South Gloucestershire Council at the end of November.
