AVON Valley Railway is holding an event this month to mark 60 years since the rail line closed.
The People and Their Protest on Sunday March 8 will take visitors back to the Beeching era.
Members of the Kingswood Players will be roaming Bitton station and on board the trains protesting against the impending line closure.
Dr Richard Beeching is also said to be making an appearance.
AVR will use the day to reaffirm its commitment to restore the Avon Valley Railway to the outskirts of Bath with the unveiling of a new sign at Avon Riverside station.
Trains will run to a special timetable. Tickets are available with a bonus offer allowing under 16s travelling with a full fare paying adult to ride for 20 pence (four shillings) — the approximate price of a ticket in 1966.
