School has happy tales to tell

STAFF , children and parents at Cherry Garden Primary School celebrated World Book Day.

Families were invited to ‘Stay and Read’ to start the day off and  throughout the day children and staff enjoyed reading-themed events including an assembly to share their fantastic outfits and a  book swap.

Deputy head Vicki May said: “It was lovely to be able to make sure that every  child could choose a book to keep.”

The day was finished with ‘Books at Bedtime’, where children came back to school in their pyjamas for a story and hot chocolate (teddies were also welcomed).
