FAMILIES enjoyed the annual scarecrow trail in Hanham High Street, organised by the Friends of Christ Church C of E Primary School.
Participants had to guess the names of the 32 scarecrows, which were all animal characters. Lots were made by the children from the school; others were made by parents, local businesses or community groups such as Hanhan Pre-school. The event raised over £840.
A spokesperson for the Friends said: “Thank you to DW Smith for sponsoring the trail and funding our main prize of £50 plus 2 x £10. A great big thank you to all the shops along the high street who supported us by allowing us to place a scarecrow in their shop window.”
