ONE of the most enjoyable and eagerly anticipated events in the Keynsham Bowling Club calendar is the annual presentation lunch, when trophies are given to the winners of the in-house competitions that took place during the bowling season.
This was held this year at Saltford Golf Club, when nearly 70 members gathered for a three-course lunch before the presentations were made.
We welcomed two guests from Meryton Place Care Home, who this season became our shirt and principal sponsor. They were Natalie, the home’s manager, and Rosie, the regional community relations lead.
Our pictures show the trophies on display before the presentations, as club president John Nix and vice president Margaret Church discuss the running order with secretary David Hockney.
Above, we see the trophies in the safe hands of the winners, who will be their custodians for the next 12 months. They can also choose to receive a small commemorative trophy to keep.
