Day of culture

Hanham Woods Academy hosted its first Day of Culture, a celebration highlighting students’ diverse backgrounds. 

Some wore colourful attire from their countries of origin. Other activities on the day ranged from the Japanese paper art of origami to the movements of Indian Bollywood dancing. Other highlights included African rug printing, crafting clay figurines, mastering embroidery techniques, and global food making and tasting.

From participants immersed themselves in a variety of experiences designed to celebrate cultural heritage.  The event was led by head of social sciences Tasha Wolyn.
