Students at Wellsway School and IKB Academy in Keynsham achieved excellent results in A levels and vocational qualifications.
Many are moving on this month to a study subjects including Medicine, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Film Studies, Nursing, Geography and Palaeontology at universities across the country. Others are taking up apprenticeships in finance, retail, quantity surveying, construction, engineering, IT and communications, as well as careers within the Royal Air Force and a range of other employment opportunities.
Amy Chapman, Director of Sixth Form, said: “I am incredibly proud of our students and all that they have achieved. These results are the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and dedication.”
At GCSE, Wellsway saw 61% of students achieved passes in both English and Mathematics at Grade 5 or above, while 80% secured passes in both subjects at Grade 4 or above. Students achieved an average grade of 5.2 across all GCSE entries.
Executive head Rob Pearsall said: “When I think about the Class of 2026, I think about their kindness, humour, inclusivity and the way they have consistently supported one another. They have embraced opportunities, overcome challenges and made a positive contribution to our community.”
